I’ve been meaning to move my blog off of LiveJournal and onto WordPress for some time now. Thanks to David, my roommate and ever-patient webmaster, I went ahead and made the plunge. I’m still toying with it, but I’ve imported the last several months of posts from my LiveJournal to keep you busy while I’m getting things sorted.

Congrats for making the move. WordPress is the best piece of web-based software I’ve ever worked with. Hope you are as happy with it as I am! What all plugins are you using? I’d suggest a threaded comment plugin if you don’t have one already (there are several out there), and one that allows people to subscribe to comments (like http://txfx.net/wordpress-plugins/subscribe-to-comments/)
Also, I very much like the theme.
As a note to your webmaster, should probably put up a favicon. Also, when I click to edit this comment field, for some reason it takes me back to the Website entry box, and I have to use the tab key to get to the comments. Not sure what’s up with that.
Plugins: I’m still picking them right now — I’ve been loving the hell out of WP at whitechapelproject.com, so I’m going to use that suite first. I’ll look into the ones you mention as well!

Yeah. More and more, I’m finding LiveJournal isn’t as user-friendly as I would like, both to me and my readers. It sucks to move off of a site I’ve been on for over five years, but at the same time there’s something to be said for being able to control my own content more directly.
